As a parent of two daughters it was always difficult to come up with fun and exciting active birthday ideas that appealed not only to my daughters friends but also acceptable to their friends parents. It seemed easier for parents of boys. I heard "Just book a paintball or Lasertag party" many times and it was and still is an easy and popular option. The boys have lots of fun, its outdoors, they're actively engaged in a safe and adrenaline pumping activity, its competitive, naturally socially distancing (covid-19 friendly) and gives them lots to talk about afterwards. On the more serious side, it teaches strategic thinking, problem solving, builds team spirit and enforces safe equipment handling.
But, what about a girls party option, surely all of the above positives should apply just as much to girls parties as boys parties, yet about ninety percent of paintball or lasertag parties are celebrating a boys birthday. Yes, there is the fear of being "tagged" or "hit" during a paintball activity but there is always the Lasertag option (No Pain, All Gain).
Owning a Paintball and Lasertag venue meant my daughters always had the option of enjoying an active, adrenaline filled party option, either Lasertag or Paintball. Both activities always proved to be a great hit with their friends and family.
So, the next time your daughter is having a birthday party, don't forget to offer paintball, airsoft or lasertag as a great way to celebrate their special day.
